What are the basic calculations for plotting a detection error trade-off curve?

I have plotted detection error trade-off curve in MATLAB with the tools provided by NIST, but dont know the basic calculations behind, i.e how to convert the no. Of trials(missed n false) to their probability percentage, pls help. .
