Why has Physics been included in MHT-CET and All Medical Entrance exams throughout India?

There is no relation of Physics with Medical I suppose, exept for the Biomedical Instruments. But then too,it has been a compulsory subject for those appearing for Medical Entrance exams(U.G.).Why is this done?On one side of the coin ,India lacks Doctors...and on the other side this is the condition with entrance exams. If a person is capable of doing Chem and Bio very efficiently(as chem also has a relation in Medicine),then only because he does'nt score well because of Physics,he is about to get a low score....and then you know what happens....he can't opt for M.B.B.S.!Why man?Is this to discourage people to go into Medicine?

Physics fundamentals play vital role in understanding the different parameters of Biomedical Instruments. Medical Science is now not just related to applying biological studies on patients. Those instruments you would use on human beings without understanding it, Does it make any sense? Will you put your patients life in danger? Answer is self explanatory why physics is included in all medical entrance exams.
