Both the programming language i.e. PHP and ASP can be called as better but PHP is considered as the best for creating a website. This is simple and as it is open source programming language it is available for free. In addition, it is considered as an independent platform, so it can be access on any server like Linux, Unix, etc. while asp.net requires only windows based server. PHP has good security from the viewpoint of payment gateway and as compared to Asp.net, there are more CMS available in PHP.
